Bollywood actor-producer Aamir Khan is undoubtedly one of the bankable stars in the Hindi film industry. Over the years, he has given a bunch of remarkable films. On Wednesday, one of his films, Taare Zameen Par, clocked 15. Celebrating the milestone, actress Tisca Chopra, who played a significant role in the film, took to her verified social media handle and penned a heartwarming note for it.
Tisca shared a still from the film, which features her and Darsheel Safary. In the photo, she can be seen giving him a peck on his cheek. For the unversed, Tisca played Darsheel’s mother in the Aamir Khan starrer. Meanwhile, she also added one of the tracks from the film, titled Maa. “15 years to this gem of a film .. exactly at this time, all of us were in Delhi, waiting for the audience to enter the cinemas,” wrote the actress.
She further added, “We waited outside with bated breath, Aamir was the most anxious (though he tried not to show it) as it was his first as director.. As people steamed out of the halls, there were red noses, eyes swollen and our clothes got covers with a mixture of tears and snot .. because we got hugged that much.”
Before signing off, she wrote, “Since then, it’s been the same, the love and respect #TaareZameenPar has, is unparalleled, in my experience anyway.. Everywhere I go, it’s still about #ishaan and Maya Awasthi Such good fortune to be part of cinema history, with this iconic film .. it did what cinema, at its best, can do - entertain and create change.” She expressed her “deepest gratitude” to everyone who was involved in the making of this “landmark film”.
