Bollywood couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are by far two of the most adored names in the industry. In fact, the two have time and again proved why they are the leading couple both on screen and off, thanks to their electrifying chemistry. Interestingly, both, Ranveer and Deepika will soon be seen together on the big screen in the soon to release film Cirkus. While the film directed by Rohit Shetty is slated to release next week, the entire cast were recently on the TV show Bigg Boss 16 hosted by Salman Khan to promote the film. While on the show, in one fun segment, Ranveer Singh was seen being strapped in to a lie detector, while being questioned by his Cirkus co-star Varun Sharma as the rest including Salman Khan, Rohit Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde look on.
As part of the said lie-detector test, Varun asks Ranveer if he has ever said 'I love you' to his wife Deepika Padukone, just to butter her up in times of conflict. Ever the entertainer, Ranveer Singh was quick to respond saying that there are times when he has done so to get his way. Explaining Ranveer says, “Jee haan, kabhi kabhi bolna padta hai, meethi meethi baate karni padti hai. Aur main toh fielding pehle se hi shuru karta hoon. Kyunki mujhe maloom hai, ki agar do din baad mujhe kuch maangna padta hai toh main do din pehle se maska maarna shuru kar deta hoon. (Of course yes. sometimes in married life, you have to speak sweet things. Like when I know that I have to ask her something after two days, then I start buttering her up two days prior.)”

Not surprisingly, Ranveer’s candid response left everyone present in splits, while the audience erupted in applause and laughter. This episode in itself was quite entertaining as we also saw Rohit Shetty undergoing the lie-detector test and made a revelation about wanting to feature Salman Khan and his Dabangg character Chulbul Pandey in his cop universe.
As for the film, Cirkus will see Ranveer Singh playing a double role, along with Varun Sharma. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film also stars Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez as the female leads, and is slated to release on Friday, December 23.
