Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan has remained quiet about her private life. While she is on social media and has a public life as an interior designer, she has always maintained kept her personal life away from the spotlight. But, now, years later, she will be back in front of the cameras, all because of Koffee With Karan 7. After 17 years, she returns to the Karan Johar-hosted show along with her good friends Maheep Kapoor and Bhavana Pandey. Ringing in all the elements of candid, humour and wit, the three women spill the beans on airport looks and Bollywood parties.
In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Gauri Khan confessed that Karan Johar actually never asked her to be on the show in the last 18 years after she appeared only once. The interior designer also said she had a gala time on Koffee With Karan 7 with Maheep Kapoor and Bhavana Pandey as the latter make their debut on the talk show. “I think he’s never asked me. In these 18 years, he’s asked me once and maybe he didn’t ask me. I don’t even remember it’s been so many years. And of course, he’s a friend and it was even more fun because I am coming with Maheep and Bhavana. I knew it’s going to be a lot of gupshup, chat and fun,” she told Bollywood Hungama.
Apart from that, Gauri Khan quipped that one has to be ‘glam’ in order to be on the show. She said, “I was looking forward to getting ready. You have to be glam when you are with Karan, otherwise, he won’t take you on his show. It was fun getting ready, sitting there with your friends and chatting. I really enjoyed myself.”
Koffee With Karan 7 episode with Gauri Khan, Maheep Kapoor and Bhavana Pandey will air at midnight on September 22.
Meanwhile, Gauri Khan will turn host with an all-new show titled Dream Homes. The show will present six episodes where Gauri will take the viewers through the space makeover journeys of some of the most popular B-town celebrities’ homes.
